The subject of the article is soviet regime fighting against Ukrainian liberation movement in the Stanislav region during 1944-1956. The documental heritage of soviet institutions, particularly the documents of the regional committee of KPU and the regional commissariat ones which are kept in the Governmental archive of Ivano-Frankivsk region (former Stanislav region) and contain the information regarding the soviet-Ukrainian opposition are being investigated herein. The numbers of the stocks, the descriptions and the records, where the mentioned above documents may be found, are noted in the article. The author has analyzed the specifics of their designing, the origin of the information, which the documents contains, and has made the comparative characteristics of the documental heritage from both institutions in the declared above context. The verification of the documental heritage of the regional committee of KPU and the regional military commissariat based on comparison of the data from some soviet archive documents with the data of the liberation movement sources and witnesses' testimonies try has been done. The systematical data falsification in the soviet documents had been found within the verification. Thus, the article is a kind of try to analyze the documental heritage sources from the Stanislav region soviet institutions archives within the context of the fighting of that institutions against the Ukrainian liberation movement. The comparative method let to discover the similarities and the deficiencies in the documents from both mentioned institutions and the verification one enabled to find the documents' partiality and fraud. So the article conclusion is that, despite the considerable value of the Stanislav regional committee KPU and the regional military commissariat documental heritage, the institutions' documents usage in the scientific works is possible even if the other informational sources for the mentioned event are also available.
