CORRECTION AND RETRACTION POLICY
The Editorial Board of the Skhid recognizes its responsibility to maintain the integrity, authenticity, and completeness of the scholarly record. Changes to articles that have already been published on the journal's website are made only under the circumstances outlined below and in strict accordance with the ethical standards of the global academic community.
ERRATUM
An Erratum is an official statement by the original authors briefly describing any corrections resulting from unintentional errors or omissions in the text.
- The notice must specify the impact of these corrections on the overall conclusions of the research.
- The original article is not removed from the journal's electronic archive but is accompanied by an active link to the Erratum text.
- All Erratum notices are made freely available to all readers.
RETRACTION
A Retraction is a formal notice that the paper should no longer be regarded as part of the scientific literature due to the discovery of critical violations or unreliable findings.
- Grounds for Retraction: Clear evidence of data falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication (self-plagiarism), submission without proper permissions, or violations of research ethics.
- Procedure: To preserve the integrity of the scientific record, the article is not removed from the website but is clearly marked as "Retracted." A retraction notice, including the justification for the decision, is published in open access and linked to the original material.
- Responsibility: Retractions may be initiated by the authors (if substantial scientific errors are discovered) or by the Editors/Publisher (if misconduct is identified). The notice will indicate the party responsible for the decision and whether the retraction was made with the unanimous agreement of all co-authors.
- Exceptional Cases: The Publisher reserves the right to completely remove an article in rare cases involving severe legal infringements or copyright violations. In such instances, bibliographic information will be retained to ensure the integrity of the record.
PUBLISHER’S NOTE
A Publisher’s Note notifies readers of technical or production errors made by the Editorial Office that affect the article's metadata (e.g., title, author list, affiliation) or significantly hinder the reader's ability to comprehend the content.
- In such cases, the original version is replaced with a corrected version, and the date of the correction is noted.
- Replacing the file on the website is only possible within one year of the original publication date. After this period, any technical corrections are documented solely as a Publisher’s Note without replacing the core text.
COMPLIANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
In its correction and retraction procedures, the Editorial Board is guided by the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics: COPE Guidelines for Retracting Articles
