Archiving and Deposition

Journal Skhid implements a multi-level long-term preservation policy for digital content to ensure continuous access to scientific publications.

• Digital Repositories: All published issues and article metadata are deposited into the Institutional Repository of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University and the digital collections of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine.

• Technical Tools: Each scientific article is assigned a unique DOI (via Crossref) to ensure link stability. The journal platform (OJS) supports the OAI-PMH protocol, enabling international scientometric databases to automatically index metadata.

• Accessibility Guarantees: The journal is integrated into the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). This ensures decentralized preservation of digital copies through the LOCKSS system, guaranteeing full restoration and open access to the article archive even in the event of critical technical failures on the journal's primary server.
