The editorial policy of Journal Skhid is based on the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and the provisions of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA).

Impartiality: Reviewers and editors evaluate manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their scientific merit, maintaining confidentiality and declaring any absence of conflict of interest.

Response: The Editorial Board carefully considers all disputes and reports of ethical violations, acting in accordance with COPE protocols and flowcharts.
General Duties and Responsibilities of the Editorial Board

Standards: In its operations, the Editorial Board relies on the developments of COPE, Elsevier publishing house, and international editorial associations.

Confidentiality: Protection of personal data is guaranteed in accordance with the Law of Ukraine «On Protection of Personal Data» and the General Data Protection Regulation GDPR.

Confidentiality: Editorial decisions regarding publication are independent of commercial interests, research funding sources, or the policies of the institutions where the authors work.
Author Status and Cooperation with Authors

Authorship Criteria: An author is considered a researcher who has made a significant contribution to: (1) the research concept, (2) data collection and analysis, (3) manuscript writing, and (4) approval of the final version.

Artificial Intelligence (AI): Large Language Models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, do not meet the criteria for authorship. Their use must be properly documented in the "Methods" or "Acknowledgements" section of the manuscript.

Transparency: Authors are provided with a detailed description of the double-blind peer review process and an appeal mechanism in case of disagreement with the editorial decision.
Cooperation with Reviewers

Objectivity: The Editorial Board engages qualified experts who have no conflict of interest with the authors. The review process is fair, objective, and timely.

Quality: The Editorial Board uses specialized databases to identify reviewers and terminates cooperation with those who provide poor quality or biased reviews.
Access, Licensing, and Archiving

Open Access: The journal provides immediate open access to its content under the BOAI model.

Licensing: Materials are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

Archiving: The Editorial Board encourages self-archiving of manuscripts in institutional repositories and ensures long-term preservation through digital systems (LOCKSS/CLOKSS).
