The article discovers different approaches of semiotic constructs definition in the context of its structural and functional features at different levels of being. With regard to those definitions author analyzed the meaning of this concept and found the affinities with the concepts of "encyclopedia" (U.Eco), sedimentation and the tezaurus approach, as well as with aspects of logonomic systems (R.Hodge and G.Kress). The experienced meaning in the semiotic constructs are thematically grouped around a certain sense. It is shown that semiotic constructs has multiple connotations that can influence the interpretation of the subsequent semiotic theories in different contexts. Author believes that communication has constructive sense, because its literally builds today the value of future. Thus the expanded and narrowed understanding of the semiotic constructs is proposed. On the basis of S. Langer's semiotics approach author proposes the consideration of extended comprehension of semiotic constructs through the discursive and representative levels. Therefore, the multimodal nature of semiotic design of social world is pointed out. The life world peculiarities of the sign-symbolic constructions, particularly in the context of the civil society and the social roles are determined. In the consequences author remarks the danger of the human life world colonization, especially in the modern Ukraine.
