The establishment and operation of the machine-tractor stations in the Soviet Union

The problem of derivation and activities of the machine-tractor stations in the Soviet Union is analyzed in this paper from the appearance of the first machine companies, ranks of tractors and MTC in the 30-s of XX century, ending in the reorganization of technical repair station in 1958.
MTS activity was aimed at increasing the yield of all crops and increase public livestock in the postwar period.
MTS seen as a decisive force in the development of the collective leadership, helped during various types of agricultural operations and training center of mass frame of machine.
The historical process of the creation, operation and reorganization of MTS seen in the agricultural industry.
